However, from high-performance athletes to people who are simply looking to perform better in their daily lives, more and more people are embracing cold water immersion. Is it just a social media trend or is there real scientific backing? The answer lies in how human biology responds to controlled stress.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-95e3285f6431f81050bbf8e66dcb8de8\" style=\"font-size:22px\"><strong>The dopamine rush (without the caffeine crash)<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-c082b3632e3be88b555e489ea3b7b85c\" style=\"font-size:17px\">Upon entering cold water (around 10\u00b0C\u201315\u00b0C), the body activates an instant survival mechanism.
